Well you have finally done it. You have packed in the rubbish job and told your boss exactly what you  think. You have taken the plunge and made the decision to begin your own affiliate marketing business.  Affiliate Marketing can be very lucrative. It provides people with the opportunity to work for  themselves with very little risk to them. Those that are sales savvy, good at marketing and are not  afraid of a little hard work can often do incredibly well with an internet marketing program.

Affiliate Marketing sounds easy but you do need to exercise some caution. You want to avoid the  affiliate marketing pitfalls that can ruin your business and worse, have you crawling on your hands  and knees back to that boss that now knows how you truly feel.

People tend to get excited when they start a new venture. Unfortunately this excitement and eagerness  can cause them to miss key things in their agreement. Whenever you sign up for an affiliate marketing  program, you will be expected to sign an agreement. The terms and conditions of the agreement for both  sides should be outlined. However, if they would like to hide something this is where they will put it. It  will either be in the small print, so get your magnifying glass out, or they’ll baffle you with  legal language. Either way, you need to read and understand your agreement thoroughly to avoid disappointment and lost earnings.

If you are signing up for a commission based affiliate marketing program then you need to understand  how the term revenue is defined. This is one of the biggest pitfalls of the contracts. They may advertise 5-10% commissions but it all fall on how they define revenue. Most internet marketing  programs will calculate commission on the gross value of the sale. In other words, the amount of money  the site will get at the completion of the sale. You may think that this sounds great. However, you  need to read this part of the agreement very carfully. The amount of the sale almost always excludes  credit card or debit card payment surcharges. They also are likely to exclude payment and delivery  charges as well as any gift wrapping or other surcharges. What sounded like a nice commission is soon  shrinking before your eyes. Ask these questions specifically before you sign an agreement.

Some affiliate programs are even stricter in their definition of revenue. Your commission might be based  on the profit margin of the sold product. For example, if you help sell a book for 20 dollars however the company only makes 10 dollars profit, you’ll receive a percentage of 10 dollars not 20. This can make  a substantial difference in your earnings. Again, make sure you understand these things and ask  specifically what your commission will be based upon. Read your agreement and look out for odd  sounding clauses. These could come back to haunt you later.

Another thing to beware of when you work on commission is returns. Many affiliate marketing companies  only pay commission out on completed sales and then only if the customer keeps the item. If they  return the items your commission might be cancelled. To really rub salt in the wounds, you may be billed for the outstanding commission if you do not have sufficient commission credit built up. Make  sure you understand this before signing on. You cannot expect a company to pay you a commission on an  item that’s returned but make sure you understand their return policy. Find out your rights in this  situation.

Affiliate Marketing can be a great way to make money online. If you have good sales and marketing skills then  it can give you the chance to out them to good use. You’ll be able to work for yourself and not  someone who undervalues and doesn’t appreciate them. One needs to consider internet marketing carefully. Make sure you understand your agreement and exactly what you will be paid for. You don’t  want to have to go crawling back to your boss begging for the old job back.

Marketing And Selling On The Web

Spider web
Image via Wikipedia

Make money online involves affiliate marketing to reach out to potential customers. It requires creativity like designing, development and technical aspects like marketing and advertising. Affiliate marketing, email marketing, search engine marketing and interactive advertising are all different facets of Affiliate marketing. It also includes sales, public relations, information management and customer service. Since the appearance of Internet, it’s widely used for all kind of purposes. Among the advantages of Internet, some helps in doing business, shopping, etc, from the comfort of the house. According to a research, a quarter of the Internet users shop online. It’s also helped grow electronic commerce and Affiliate marketing is part of electronic commerce.

Direct marketing techniques like radio and television commercials, mails, and newsletters are the inspirations for Internet marketing, which involves direct response marketing strategies and is rapidly growing. Business-to-business, also called B2B, and business-to-consumer, also known as B2C, are the two business models to which Affiliate marketing can be linked. B2C companies were the first to start when Affiliate marketing originated. They’re companies that sell directly to the customers. B2B companies are made to do business with each other.

Websites built for Internet marketing are slightly different than others. There are peer-to-peer modelled websites which are used to exchange products and services between each other. Other is name-your-price, where the customers need to specify their price range that they can spend and select things that fall in that price range. Priceline.com is an example of such a website. Amazon.com is a website which is based on find-the-best-price model, where customers will find the lowest prices. Last are online auctions sites, where items are bid. Ebay.com is an example.

The companies who use Affiliate marketing are at an advantage. They don’t need to put in huge amounts of energy and time in Internet marketing like other traditional methods. With the help of only few resources national and international markets can be reached. Because of very low investment, even small businesses are turning to internet marketing. Websites and blogs have been developed for this purpose. Internet marketing is advantageous in the sense that the data is readily available on the web. Newsletters can be directly sent to customers and if it doesn’t contain the info they are looking for, they are able to search for information about the product online, make a decision and purchase it online itself.

One of the factors that hinder the growth of internet marketing is delayed loading of the page. The web pages that take a lot of time to download test the patience of the consumer. To add to that, when the businesses design complex web pages with lots of graphics and animations, it will slow down the speed even more. Another minus point of online marketing is that the customers cannot feel, taste, smell or try products in order to make a good decision. To over come this, some of the online stores have created liberal return policies with the help of which the customer satisfaction is guaranteed.

Another biggest threat of shopping online is identity theft. Paying online using credit cards, e-checks are susceptible to hackers and information could be stolen and used. Many hackers and websites have been caught who were involved in buying and selling of personal information. Most of the websites have taken measures and incorporated good security on their websites. One of the best methods is encryption. When the data is being transferred between two computers; there is a possibility of a hacker intercepting it. So the data is changed by applying some encryption algorithm and is sent through the network and upon receiving, the decryption algorithm is applied to bring back the data to its original form.

Online selling is influencing all kinds of businesses like banking, advertising, music, etc. Instead of going to a store for buying cassettes and CD’s, music can be bought online. Bank transactions like depositing, withdrawing, transferring funds, and paying bills are all performed online. Billions of dollars are invested every year in online advertising alone.

Ditch eBay and Sell on Amazon

A Pair of Ecuadorian Amazon Red-Lored Parrots
Image by Steve aka Crispin Swan via Flickr

So you’ve decided you might have some extra stuff you’d like to sell and you’ve decided that Amazon is the site for you. So how are you going to sell on Amazon? Nicely it isn’t much of rocket science truly, it’s as uncomplicated as snapping your fingers.

Open the homepage of Amazon, and look around on the bottom left corner of this screen. Near it really is a link which says ‘Selling on Amazon’, click it, and then click on ‘Sell your stuff”. Common sense so far, don’t you think? This will take you to a page which tells you how simple and fast it can be to market on Amazon and how you can just sell your things, very first hand or second hand, and get the payment for it without any glitches and fees.

Just below the ‘welcome’ on the page, you’ll need to list the merchandise that you are offering in one of the categories given, to organize your things on. It is easy to select from many diverse choices like Sporting Goods, Books etc. and finally ‘Everything else’.

If you are having doubts about which category you need to location your product in, just search the keywords of the item you’re marketing and this will provide you with the exact spot for it Amazon’s web page. The moment you are accomplished with this, click on ‘start selling’.

After this, to market on Amazon you will be needed to make a verification on the product you happen to be selling and also select the condition on the merchandise that you’re putting on sale too as give a comment about its situation in case you wish. (Of course, nobody wants a broken piece of junk now, ideal?)

Next, you might have to fill in a bit of information like the price of your merchandise, the amount of goods you want to promote on Amazon, your address, and also the shipping method you’d like to select. Don’t worry about the cost for shipping the goods, Amazon takes pretty beneficial care of that buy giving you preset credits for it.

Now, you may need to sign in. If you ever already have an account on Amazon, go ahead. Otherwise, make 1 perfect away. As soon as you’ve done this, just click the ‘submit your listing’ button below, to finalize everything and finally officially put up your products for sale.

When a buyer fancies the product that you are offering, he or she makes the payment to Amazon. Amazon notifies you of this via email suitable away and gives you effortless to follow step by step instructions of what to do next.  Do this to send your product. As soon as the buyer receives the item, he will notify Amazon, which will then release the payment for your article, as well as provide you with some extra credits for the shipping procedure. Amazon will on the other hand cut a small amount of fee from your money. That’s how the mutual understanding works. And that is how to sell on Amazon, good luck!

no spam!
Image via Wikipedia

Spammers are everywhere so I have decided to just mark all comments that don’t add value to the post and those that use keywords instead of their name as spam. Yeah, I have a real big pet peeve when it comes to blog comment spam. When I see a blog comment that really says nothing but has a link attached I get an itchy trigger finger that likes hitting the spam or delete button and I use it.

It just took me about a half hour to go through and mark as spam all the comments that spammers leave for my blogs. It takes me time and pisses me off but I am willing to mark them all as spam if these idiots aren’t going to bother leaving added value.

Really, what is the point of leaving a dumbass comment, if it’s not an attempt at getting a back-link by spamming me? If people are doing it just to try to get someone to link back to them or that they will get more site visitors then I think these people are a little nuts and wasting our time as I delete that crap as fast as I see them.

What is the purpose of comment on blogs?

In my books commenting is there to add value to the post. It is a great way to strike up a conversation with the author and other commentors. That’s just good for business.

When I get comments I don’t just accept them. I look at the comment and if it’s a worthy comment I then check to see if they keyworded the name field and then I look to see what the link is they left. If the link is not relevant I most likely will delete it.

However if the comment truly adds value, which means they took the time to read it and then comment I may keep it. That will depend on what site they have linked to. If the site is anything I don’t approve of the comment is deleted or at least the link is deleted.

What Will Get Your Comment Rejected?

  • Not Using Your Real Name: I do prefer people to use their real names instead of keywords in the name field but I can get over that if the comment is good and like I said, adds value to the post.
  • Butter Me Up Without Adding Value: A sure fired way to get your comment deleted is to just tell me I did a great job and butter me up. It doesn’t work with me so you just get deleted.
  • Duplicating Links: Another way to get me to delete your comments is to add the same link in the comment as you added to the URL field. Having your link in the URL field is sufficient for people finding your site.

If they can’t leave a value added comment why bother unless they are spamming and it takes a real dumbass not to know what the difference is between a value added comment and just plain spam.

Traffic 1 (Fast)

I am sure by now you know by now that in order to make money online, you need to have more than just a good website.

You need people to be able to find that website. So the term you always see for your site’s visitors is “traffic.” Your site needs to be able to convert, so of course the higher your traffic numbers, the better off you are in terms of ability to produce some sales. More or less, making as much as possible is the big goal for online marketers, of course. Ok, let’s move onto how you can make those traffic stats look impressive.

Press releases are an often-ignored method to get traffic. You’ll have no problems at all finding places to distribute a press release. As with most everything else, you can find sites that charge for premium distribution, and others are free to use. If your press release is well written, and the products you are offering are top notch, your press releases could get picked up by media outlets like Google News. This could send your traffic through the roof. Imagine how many sales you could get if you had thousands of new visitors!

Another strategy is to be a guest writer on blogs or sites. You’ll be able to tap into traffic from other blogs and sites if your content and name are published. You will get traffic if people read your content, like it, and it’s well done. All the better if you can approach highly trafficked and respected sites/blogs and convince them to publish your content. If you take the time and establish a positive relationship with these site owners, it will help a great deal to get published.

You should always provide Meta tag information in your site or blog, of course. If you have a blog, you will also want to learn how to use them in blog posts. It’s good on-page SEO factors if you use the page title and description Meta tags.

You can cause some SEO confusion if your meta title/description tags are different from your page content. Meta tags are not difficult to use, and there are certain benefits to using them.

It can be challenging to choose which techniques of traffic generation to use, as there are so many. If you confine yourself to using one single method to build traffic on any given day, you’ll get the best results. Work at each method for a few months and, if it isn’t working, move on to another method.

Then when you find something that works well, you can increase your efforts in that direction to get even better results. When you have a website, you want to bring as much traffic to it as possible; you really can’t have too much. In order to make sales, you need people coming to your site; more visitors means more customers!

aweber-logoPlease don’t make the same mistake about autoresponders and collecting names and email addresses so that you can continue to promote to people.

I remember it well and it goes all the way back to about 2003 when I met a guy who needed a web site build. His name is Bob and we became great online friends.

Bob had some great advice but I can be pretty thick sometimes and just let it go in one ear and right out the other, as my dad would say.

What did Bob tell me? Collect Names And Emails

Yup Bob advised me, years ago, to collect names and emails instead of just making sales, but I chose not to go that route and continued to work my butt off making one sale at a time.

I told myself I wasn’t looking to make millions, just a good living, so I didn’t need to collect names. I really don’t know what made me think like that but it wasn’t too bright was it.

I think I even looked at collecting names as a way to spam people. I guess that thinking came from being on the wrong lists myself and getting spammed day after day.

I couldn’t begin to tell you how many people I let slide through my fingers and really I don’t want to think about that now. Even the ones that purchased from me were gone after that first purchase. No backend sales for me.

After years of struggling to make sales I found The Affiliate Code video training and Michael opened my eyes, finally.

Start Building Your List of Niche Related Buyers NOW

Taking the time to setup an autoresponder and a series of followups takes time but it’s time that is well spent. I didn’t feel I needed to do that because I was making sales.

I use Aweber for all my autoresponder series now. It just makes good sense to save those people that are interested in what you have to offer, so collect those names and emails but make sure you keep them in the niche they signed up for so you aren’t spamming them.

Hind site is 20/20 they say and now I can see clearly just how much money I have flushed because of NOT collecting names and emails.

I really couldn’t begin to tell you how many people I have let slip through my fingers because I thought it was going to be too much work getting an autoresponder system up and running.

It took me about 3 minutes to signup to Aweber and I even got my first month for just $1.00. Setting up my autoresponder was an easy step by step process Aweber guided me through.

All the months and years I ignored autoresponders just because I was afraid I couldn’t do it. Sad isn’t it, well don’t be like that, it’s a whole lot easier than one might think.

No sense crying over spilt milk. I am just happy that I finally saw the light that is autoresponders and am now collecting names.

Maybe They Won’t Buy Today But…

This part is really cool. I have had far more people not buy from me as my conversion rate was only about 1-3% but now that I use forms and squeeze pages to collect names I am making far more money.

When I send my lists emails for products I am sending to lists where people actually requested to join the list so they are very targeted and that has done wonders for my conversion rate.

So, don’t do as I did but instead do as I say and get started collecting names and emails my friend and you can come back here and leave me a comment telling me how it’s working for you.

Get over to Aweber and check it out.

What is the goal of most bloggers these days? For me and other bloggers I know it’s all about getting more target traffic. Why? Because we need readers to earn money with our blogs.

Success with blogging is all about the marketing you do right from the get-go. Get it right and you will see success but don’t bother to research your niche and you may just be spinning your wheels like I did for a couple of year.

Ignore my warning and you will have to just find our for yourself, but you are going to find that you can not just create a blog, make a post or two and then expect to make money.

To Start Blogging You Need A Blog

Once you have a blog setup, which is so easy these days, you need to populate your blog with great content that’s relevant to your niche.

Posting regularly is what works best. You won’t be likely to find success if you just put up a bunch of articles and leave it at that. I often check the date on a blog to see how often it’s updated. If it’s not updated at least once a week I don’t bother with it. A blog that’s not updated gets old fast.

You can go with a free service for blogging but I have had bad experiences with free blog platforms. They can shut you down instantly if someone complains about your blog, even if it’s not true. Then you have to prove they are wrong.

I use Wordpress myself and also use blog themes that make my blogs look somewhat unique and then I even change the header and footer images along with the colours so that it’s all mine.

Do try to get a theme that is going to match the market what you’re promoting. I have a couple of travel blogs and took a bit of time and used Google to find a travel blog theme for Wordpress that looks great. I just popped a new header image in for both blogs and was good to go.

Get Links To Your Blog

Once you have your blog thought out and you are adding great relevant content it’s then time to start getting backlinks to your blog pages.

Don’t Only Link To Your Main Page

A big mistake I made when I started getting backlinks to my sites was linking to the main page all the time. Instead, I should have been linking to relevant pages in my site.

I use Bloglines as my RSS feed reader to keep up with related blogs.

I find blogs that are in my niches and then comment on blog posts that match my content. Once I have a blog that matches and then an article I like I will comment but not before finding a good match to link to on my related blog.

If I can’t find an article that fits I will take the time to write one and then link to it from the comment I am leaving. Don’t be in a hurry and do it right, it’s worth your time.

1. When you are going for links to your site do your best to get one-way links, they are more powerful than reciprocal links.

2. When commenting leave value-added comments and try to be first to comment. That is why having a RSS feed reader like Bloglines comes in so handy. You can see new blog posts immediately.

3. Leave your real name instead of a keyword where your name goes. I personally delete all comments now where keywords are used as their name. It looks like the comment was left as a comment when you use your name compared to seeing a keyworded phrase instead.

4. Do your best to comment on blogs that have good page ranks. It’s always better for your blog when you are commenting or linking from authority sites.

5. Hire a company to do a linking campaign for you. They are usually quite affordable and if you focus on one blog at a time you can really shoot your site up in the rankings.

Note: When you hire anyone to do a back linking campaign be sure to check them out first. There are a lot of scammers out there. Be sure you have some type of guarantee you can work with.

I used a place once that only offered 50% refund guarantee. I asked them about it and he just explained that they did this manually so labour was involved. I still gave them a try as it was less than $50 for 80 backlinks.

I was pleased with their service but we had a heck of a time with emails. I told them in the end that I was pleased with their work and they did a great job but I wouldn’t use them again because of the email problems. I would still be using them if not for that problem.

So, in conclusion, blogging is easy, fun and quite rewarding if you start right and keep focused.

Magazine Article

Are you searching for total niche domination?

I work from home and have found that article marketing addresses some key marketing strategies. This article will give you a few reasons why you need to market with articles now!

Are you itching to dominate your competitors?Article Marketing can help you with that.

If you are in online marketing for the long haul you will need to continually apply innovative marketing strategies and tactics which can give you that edge you need to succeed. It starts with showing your prospects and clients see you as the expert in your niche.

Utilize the power of traffic coming from article directories and the backlink juice that it gives to your sites. Of course, it would be great to know how to do so that you get the best bang for your invested time and money.

Give your self the required time for article marketing to work. My first real article marketing campaign only took a couple of weeks to start showing results and once it started it kept gaining momentum that surprised me.

These are some of the best reasons for it:

1. Article Marketing Can Be Done Free

Don’t have a big budget, then write and publish your own articles. Just think about it. One article a day and you have 365 articles in a year. If you rewrite each article you can publish across multiple article directories and easily double or triple the amount of articles.

All that for time spent.

2. Find Writers In Counties With Strong English

Personally I have found writers that have good English skills, enough to write great articles. I get people to write articles for niches I don’t have a lot of knowledge in yet. I can get a good article for about $5.00 each, so I can’t go wrong.

3. Others Will Publish Your Articles If They Are Good

Take the time to produce quality content in your articles and others will want them for their own sites, making them viral because they  have to leave your links in the article when they get them from article directories.

Note: People will outright steal your work so keep an eye on your content as you may find it in a lot of places without your links and that’s stealing.

4. Search Engine Optimize Your Articles

An article is only as good as your keywords when it comes to finding your content on Google, so make sure you take the time to know your keywords and use them in the right density, about 1-3%.

Use your keywords in your title and try to use it at the start of the title.

Use your keywords again in the first sentence, every other paragraph and in the last sentence.

Don’t try to use too many keyword phrases, maybe three at the most. I usually don’t go past two keyword phrases in my articles so that it doesn’t look spammy to my readers and the search engines.

5. Make Money With Your Article Marketing

There isn’t much sense writing articles that don’t focus on making you money. Unless you are not even trying to make money, then it’s cool.

Find things in your niche to promote and build pages that you can point to from your articles so that each and every article has the potential to earn you money.

I didn’t do this and now I am going back through hundreds of articles and adding links to affiliate sites. Those are the articles I have on my own blogs and sites. For the articles I have published on article directories I have them pointing to landing pages I created. From the landing page I give readers the link to my affiliate program so as not to violate terms of service for article directories.

I publish to article directories but one thing that is working really well, but costs a little which is worth every penny, is to use My Article Network to publish my articles across about 10,000 other blogs.

Note: I have told a few friends and associates how I started getting tons of backlinks to my blogs. First write a few articles in your niches, being sure you focus on paying keywords. I started with 10 articles over 4 niches.

Then, after they were already done I purchased a membership at My Article Network and published those articles immediately. Doing it this way I have a full month before I had to cancel my membership if I felt the need.

When I cancelled my membership my articles were not deleted but they stopped being published. That was cool I already had my articles published over hundreds of blogs and already saw my ranking going up in just a month. I did cancel my membership and watched them over the next two months.

It worked great and I started my membership again, after writing a bunch more articles. I again published them immediately and gave them the month to spread out across those blogs.

My other articles became actively promoted across the blogs again so they started getting even more attention and I was making money by this point, because of my keyword focus.

No longer a need to cancel my membership.

I found out later that if you renew within 90 days you will not lose the articles you have in your account. Although the articles already published remain published and keep working for you.

Of course My Article Network offers a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied. I didn’t even think about asking for a refund. Even my wife was impressed and that’s not easy. So get over to My Article Network and give it a try.

Make Money Scams vs Legit Opportunities

Coins and banknotes, two of the most common ph...
Image via Wikipedia

I have been scammed enough in the past that I tend to be a little sceptical about earning opportunities online, well offline to as far as that goes. It takes a little research to find the genuine make money online opportunities.

Almost all of what you’ll find online is on the up and up. The genuine challenge is weeding thru it all to find something that works for you. These are some common profit making tricks that many online promoting newcomers can fall into.

Get Rich Quick:

A lot of gurus in online marketing use their stories as corroboration of what you can do too if you purchase their products or services. And although it is probably true that these marketers did make an enormous sum of money awfully quickly, there are 3 things you should understand about that;

1) They probably weren’t completely new to the industry when they started making the money…

2) They’d have used another methods or programs to earn them this sum of money ( so they may not be revealing everything in what they sell to you…

3) They might have also spent a massive amount of cash to be ready to earn this great amount of money. While the products and/or services are most likely valuable and legitimized, you shouldn’t expect them to make you rich quick.

Easy Money Making:

There are quite a few mechanical systems out there. And yes, they are real and yes, they are easy. But they can also be expensive and not incredibly effective since they appeal to so many individuals that are attempting to go the easy route. The reality is that making profits online doesn’t need to be complex – it can be simple – but getting results does require effort.

The general public start out on the wrong foot with systems which profess to to be easy and profitable. When they aren’t so easy or profitable, it’s simple to give up and deem these systems “make money scams”.

Pyramid Schemes:

There are numerous sorts of legitimate programs ( like social marketing or MLM businesses ) that offer you commissions if you induct others into the business. However, if you come across a program that only offers you cash if you induct other members but offers no real service, this is a clean-cut pyramid scheme and swindle. Fortunately, the FTC is quick to crack down on these types of activities so you shouldn’t run across them too often.

Pay affiliate marketing programs:

Some affiliate program claim that they can make you lots of cash, but require you to buy their product or charge a sign up fee before you can start promoting what they offer. Bear in mind that you don’t have to pay for an associate product to promote it (though there are reasons you may want to do that). Most affiliate product and service owners will not ask their affiliate to pay money before they earn.

The Better Business Bureau and federal Trade Commission offer additional information about avoiding rip-offs, plus tactics to confirm offers and file complaints. Your state lawyer general’s office might also have express or general information about earn cash scams.

Have desk, will write
Image by Bright Meadow via Flickr

I work from home and have been since early 2001. I love being my own boss even though it does require a lot of content and linking to make it all come together for the 20 or so blogs I have going currently.

My blogs are in a variety of niches and need niche specific content on a regular basis, which for me is at least one article per blog every 3 days. It does tend to keep me busy so I periodically I use writers to help me with my content. That’s when I turn to article directories to find good writes for my niches.

Note: Not all my articles are publish on my blogs. I also write articles specifically to get backlinks to my blog pages. At the end of each article I add details about me and the niche I am writing about, it’s called the resource or bio box.

The Article Resource Box

The first and most important aspect of article writing is to have focused, helpful content or you won’t get anyone finishing the article. If they don’t finish it they won’t be making use of your resource box. But if you take the time to write worthwhile content then you want to make sure you give the details that will get your resource box link clicked.

I get articles at a variety of place and notice a lot of people write about one thing and link to something non-relevant. I don’t use these articles for content and I don’t bother with the author. I am a firm believer that the resource box and article content should be relevant to each other.

I don’t find it professional at all to write about a specific type of fishing or perhaps gardening but their resource box points to an insurance, gambling, meds… you get my point, right.

When I am looking for writers I look for writers that link to what they talk about in their article.

In my humble opinion when a resource box is done correctly it should give information about the writer relevant to the content.

What Should Be In Your Resource Box?

Here are a few things that your resource box should include, their important:

Include Your full name: When I publish articles I like to include a little about myself but I make it a point to include my full name, not just my first name or my initials. It never seems completely real unless the full name is there.

Include A Relevant Link

Every once in a while I see an article in the article directories that has no link in the article or the resource box. What were they thinking. It’s that link that makes it all work.

The URL you use in your resource box is a link back to a specific web page on your site, don’t waste the opportunity.

So your resource box doesn’t need to have a lot of info and should only be about 1-3 sentences. Just enough for your details and a call to action.

An article is just an article, without your resource box you really don’t stand a change in article directories.
