Work From Home Web Site Promotion Services

It’s not only about the web site!

A website in itself has no real value. It could be the best web site in the world with amazing products and a beautifully articulated sales message that converts even the most skeptical of prospects, but without visitors a website is worthless, yet many business owners forget that. See, the “build it and they will come” philosophy does not work on the internet because without some form of web site promotion services potential prospects will never find their way to your site, and without visitors you have no sales. So what can you do to generate traffic to your web site?

Pay per click traffic is a popular way of generating traffic fast.

How does Pay Per Click or PPC advertising work?  You create an advert and submit it to search engines such as Google, requesting that they display your advert only when users search for specific keyword phrases. If the browser is interested in your advert they can click on it and get directed through to your web site. You, the advertiser, will then pay the search engine for each click through to your web site. As you pay only for clicks this can be a very cost effective way of purchasing targeted traffic to your web site. The key is to target long tail commercially orientated keywords like “ladies golf clubs for sale” as opposed to short tail keywords like “golf.”

Another way to instantly generate traffic to your web site is through article submissions. Well written articles on topics related to your web site content can be a very effective tool for generating targeted traffic to your site. Article directories such as Go Articles or Ezine Articles are an excellent source of information regularly visited by web site browsers. By writing quality content that captivates your prospects you have the opportunity to leverage off the large visitor numbers that use these sites and direct lots of potential customers to your business. It is generally free to join article directories though they do have relatively strict terms of use to ensure that high quality is maintained.

Lastly online forums are also an excellent place to get traffic. By participating in forums relative to your market you are able to capture targeted visitors who are interested in your businesses subject matter. Simply involve your self in forum discussion and then link back to your web site using a link in your comment signature or links in the body of your post. If your comment is interesting enough to members of the forum many will be interested enough to click through to your website.

These are all effective ways to quickly increase traffic. It is very important to remember that the basis to making profits online is targeted traffic to your site. After all with no customers you don’t have a business.

Sending Tweets To Facebook

People who use social networking sites for frequent communication will be happy to hear that you can send Tweets to your Facebook account. This makes sense as more and more users of the free and far-reaching social marketing online plan, both Twitter and Facebook, want to be able to associate the two entities. Twitter has made this very easy by having a setting that will allow you to automatically forward your Tweets to your Facebook. Best of all, it simply inserts your latest tweet, so you will not have to post on Facebook so often.

Before you get started sending your tweets to Facebook you should consider how you tweet. If you are someone who is tweeting every few minutes, you should consider if your Facebook friends will want to see every Tweet on their Facebook wall. Conversely, if you only Tweet when you have something important to say, your Facebook friends may appreciate the update. They may even want to use your Tweets for their own marketing purposes. Tweeters who use this find that they soon have more friends than they know what to do with.

If you decide that sending your Tweets to your Facebook is the right choice for you, you can follow the following steps to set it up.  Once you have completed these easy steps, you will find yourself saving lots of time.

  1. Go to Twitter and login.
  2. Click on Settings (you can find this at the top of the page).
  3. Fill out the requested info and then go about half way down to the “More Info URL” and look below it for the blue text in parentheses “You can also add Twitter to your site here” and just click on the blue text link.
  4. Choose the site (Facebook) where you want to add your Twitter updates.  Just follow the instructions that are there which will walk you through the process.

Many users love this process, because sending Tweets to your other social sites, will save you so much valuable time. You can use this time to build content or make products to market to your followers and friends. This is also a great way to build a responsive and loyal list for your online marketing business. It is important to make sure to never abuse it. Always make sure you are choosing your words wisely, because you can not take them back.

It is important to realize that you may not want every Tweet to go to Facebook. Many posters find that occasionally their Twitter and Facebook updates will be in sync. You might think something is especially funny and want to share it in both locations, but generally you might want different messages for each platform. This is where Selective Twitter status comes into play. Remember that you can update your Facebook Status, from Twitter but only for the tweets you choose. This is easy enough to accomplish.  You will simply end a tweet with “#fb” when you want it to update your Facebook status from Twitter.  This way you will:

  • avoid confusing your Facebook friends
  • not swamp your profile with too many updates
  • be able to leave certain updates on Facebook for much longer

It is also important to remember that this also works with Fan Pages, and not just personal profiles! This app is one of the few ways to sync from Twitter to a Facebook fan page, and still be selective about what Tweets you send. It should also be noted that this does not work if your Twitter updates are protected.  Also, there is usually a minute or two delay, so you should be patient when you first try it.

Discover How Twitter Is Fighting The Recession

There are not many businesses, (or indeed individuals), currently trading that do not have some sort of presence on Twitter. It is not hard to understand why; Twitter is fast becoming the social networking platform of choice for all of us.

If, by chance, you aren’t familiar with Twitter, you can easily locate a quick introduction to Twitter online.

That is not to say that other platforms do not have a place; of course they do. That doesn’t mean you couldn’t add another plum to your pudding.

While other platforms offer more applications, this is their downfall. the beauty of Twitter is in its ease of use; for readers and posters alike. Other than changing a few settings once creating your account, and the occasional background change; you can do everything from your tweet entry box.

What to send a general message? Well then you just type and send. What to send a message to someone in particular, but the world to see? Well then you just type @ before the user name, type away and send. Not rocket science.

Just as easy; is developing your network of followers. With profiles easy to check and a host of ways to join in; significant numbers can be yours within days. Relevant, pithy and informative postings taken for granted of course.  It is also very helpful to have a customized Twitter background so that you stand apart from the others.

There are few businesses that would not find that Twitter is useful to them; I actually cannot think of any as I write. I can of course think of certain areas where it would be most effective; professional writers, musicians, comedians; anybody that aims to entertain or inform.

It is a great tool particularly for alerting your followers to breaking news, sudden changes in circumstances and even special deals. People like to feel wanted, and being on Twitter is showing your customers you care in many respects.

As with anything; Twitter will recede in popularity and use; but not for a good time yet. Twitter is here to stay for a while; growing stronger all the time. Good little bird.
