CPA or pay per lead affiliate programs are those that offer you to make money online for getting potential customers’ contact information. The information could be as easy as a zip-code or e-mail or may be more detailed and include private information like a Social Security ID.

Over the last 6 months, there was a rising number of pay per lead programs competing for the eye of web designers. The obvious advantage that PPL programs offer is that visitors to your internet site do not have to make any sort of purchase for you to be able to make some money. Although shopping on the internet is starting to become more and more normal, it’s still, and will often always be, easier to give something away then to sell something.

There are many pay per lead affiliate marketing programmes available to you but one of the hottest is Commission Junction. This company has grown to turned into one of the largest affiliate marketing programme networks, with over 1700 merchants and growing each day. There are two reasons that Commission Junction has managed to grow so speedily. First, it offers very competitive pricing for their merchants. 2nd, it continuously improves its own affiliate marketing programme to provide more benefits to affiliates.

Commission Junction also offers a variety of other benefits to affiliates. Unlike almost all other affiliate networks, commissions earned from all merchants are pooled together in one check, and you are paid monthly by CJ without delay ( not by the merchant ). This way, if you join many various offers wthin the program and each of them earn you a bit of money, you’ll get paid the sum of all these. With plenty of other affiliate networks, you would get paid nothing until you reach the standard minimum check sizes they set ( typically $25-100 per merchant ).

Commission Junction also offers a large choice of affiliate marketing programmes that you can promote on your site. This is because they have attracted smaller merchants than some of the other pay per lead affiliate programs. Some of these smaller merchants offer highly targeted products which target a very narrow niche. This. Of course, is really handy if your website is also very targeted, as it makes it more probable that you will find a merchant that’s acceptable for your audience. Programs in CJ also range across all sorts of affiliate commission models besides pay per lead, including PPC and pay per sale.

Whether you are an experienced affiliate marketer or are entirely new to affiliate marketing, anything that will increase your traffic and income is attractive.  I recommend two resources that will meet those objectives, and, if used correctly, they should do far more than cover your costs for them.

MyArticleNetwork is a membership service with the primary function of distributing marketing articles directly to niche websites and blogs.  From the member network of more than 10,000 sites, you may set a limit on how many of your uniquely spun articles are syndicated.  It is an exceptionally valuable tool for those of us who use article distribution extensively.

The Affiliate Classroom 2, the well respected educational resource developed by Anik Singal for affiliate marketers looking to learn to take their business to new levels has been revamped and will soon be released anew.  Members of the previous version reported increases in their business ranging from 11% to 40%.  I don’t know about you, but even at the low end, I’d be happy to increase my income by eleven percent any day!  Furthermore, three quarters of the members of the older version reported that they needed no other affiliate marketing resource for assistance or education.  Just think about all the savings in that one statistic.

Extra good news for affiliate marketers is that both programs have an affiliate program.  In the case of the article network, you must be a member before you can become an affiliate.  With Affiliate Classroom 2, you may not use your own affiliate link for your personal membership purchase.  Both offer two tier systems, encouraging all of us to seek high quality traffic of affiliate marketers who will also be good spokespeople for the membership products.  And the fact that buyers will not be able to substitute their own links for that of our own links makes these affiliate programs especially attractive.

I have previously published overview of MyArticleNetwork, in a different article.  Here I want to share with you one of the techniques that I employ to make sure that my small membership fee doesn’t have to be covered from other revenue sources.

I recently wrote one article in which I reviewed two products.  While I usually drive traffic (and SEO links) to my own sites, in that article I used direct affiliate links.  The articles in the system are trickled to the various websites up to the limit that I chose.  At this point, that article is just one third of the way through its publication cycle.  Already, that one article has more than paid for my membership.  Once all the versions of my article are published, they will stay on those site for a very long time generating additional traffic for my affiliate links.  I have no idea how much more that article will eventually earn for me, but I know that whatever it earns from here on out is pure profit.

Both of these memberships will help me build my business for the long term, but the best news is that I can make them pay for themselves.

The majority ask the incorrect questions when speaking with marketers: “How can you earn money off social networks?”

The value is placed on social networks like MySpace, Orkut, Friendster, LinkedIn, Mixx, Stumbleupon, Reddit, Twitter and Flikr, while ignoring the real reason these networks were setup and how it’s possible for you to use those ideas to help your business.

The top social networking websites which are Myspace, Orkut and Friendster were founded as a technique to stay in touch with buddies and family and to meet new folks online that all share similar ideas. LinkedIn has an analogous slant – it is great for entrepreneurs and pros who want to keep a record of their contacts for hiring / outsourcing. Flicker is just a blindingly easy tool for sharing pictures.

The success of social networks marks a dynamic shift in how folks are using the internet. We have evolved from just looking for info to making and collaborating in social spaces with other individuals through the internet. This model is based upon the hive mentality where people identify themselves as a part of a group with similar likes and interests that draw them together.

Social networks make viral marketing and word-of-mouth marketing far easier than previously. The optimum use of social networks isn’t to earn money “directly” off of them, but to harness their promoting potential and to use them to market your own business. Let’s say you run a store based around Niche Blueprint 2.0. The best way to do that is to optimize your internet site (including the process of link building) for your target keywords.

Online social networks present an efficient platform for you to be used in the dissemination of your marketing message. Additionally, they’re also a great tool for getting tons of visitors and thousands of page views to your internet site.

What this all means is that you need to dedicate more of your attention towards how you can leverage the traffic you do receive from these sources. To do that, you must permit your visitors to make their own social network focused on your niche topic. The power of this can’t be missed since social networks allow for multiple points of connections between almost anyone on Earth, giving them the power to find, share, enjoy, and track everything and anything that tickles their fancy.

Social network marketing works in the exact same fashion, except folks opt to provide your link without being asked to do so, and places such as del.ici.ous, Digg, Blogpulse, and Technorati give them the power to do that. In offline terms, that suggests turning in the direction of your acquaintances and family to request their opinions. Online, it suggests turning towards a group of trusted folks whose opinions and recommendations you put a value on.

In fact, in lots of cases, you’ve potentially done some research on your own, using the normal search engine selling model and then turned to a social network that you?re a part of to validate your findings and complete your research by getting their experiences and viewpoints about the topic. This is social social marketing at work in its purest form.

Online social networks supply the platform needed to speak out (if they’re so inclined) or to simply watch the talks as they happen.

Yes, more and more folk are earning profits with blogs and there are so many ways to do it!

1. Market your services in your blog. Lots of folk think of blogs as places to vent or roar your viewpoints to the world . This is one use for blogs but you shouldn’t overlook their capacity to make consumers too. Just ensure that your posts are educational and offer price to whoever will be reading them. What kind of services on your Internet marketing blog can you offer? The list is endless… Choose something that you like and do well like writing, design, pay-per-click, SEO, email campaigns, babysitting, training, anything goes.

2. Sell advertising space. This could be the most typical way to leverage your blog to generate income. If you make a well-known blog, it’s reasonably simple to sell ad space. People will come looking! For new or not as well known blogs, services such as Google’s AdSense or BlogAds enable bloggers to earn profits from advertisers. AdSense is free and allows you to select several advertisements that fit with the content of your blog. You get paid when readers click the adverts.

BlogAds connects bloggers with advertisers and takes a commission in return for any ad placements that result. These kinds of programs are the explanations that so many are now making money with blogs.

3. Ask for donations. Some people are leary about this but if your small-business blog supports some sort of cause or issue, it doesn’t hurt to ask for reader support. And readers who become constant to your blog are especially prepared to make a little contribution. Programs like PayPal make it easy to build a simple on-site contribution collection button.

4. Help sell other people’s products and/or services. Let your blog be the passage between readers and online sites offering various goods and services. Just go to ClickBank or Commission Junction and pick out an affiliate product to sell – it should be something that goes together with the content of your blog. Or you can make a new blog specifically for the products you make a decision to promote. If you write articles about certain products that you would counsel, you can get paid a commission when a person takes you up on the offer.

5. Once you’ve got some purchasers, use your blog to keep them. Using a blog to regularly communicate with existing clients as well as other new readers is a way to absolutely inform them about everything your business does. Your posts can enlighten your readers about the full scope of your products or services and even evoke the to refer you to others.

6. Bear in mind that good blogs are those that are updated frequently and often with original and high-quality content. Give your readers a reason to come back to your blog again.

More and more people are making money with blogs. Will you be one of them?

The Definition of Affiliate Marketing

Niche Affiliate Marketing System (NAMS) 2

I enjoy working from my office here in my home as I work from home 5 days a week. One of the ways that I make most of my money online is through affiliate marketing so I would like to share a little about what affiliate marketing is.

Affiliate marketing is an increasingly popular way to promote businesses on the internet. An affiliate is rewarded for each visitor or subscriber found through their efforts. Essentially, this is the modern version the finder’s fee. This type of plan works well for the merchant since no fees are paid to the affiliate until they see results. It’s not uncommon for e-commerce sites to run their own affiliate marketing programs. Other e-commerce vendors use a third-party service that will track the traffic and sales created by the affiliate. Affiliate marketing has been the vehicle of success for many companies and the increase in revenue is usually 15-20% of a vendor’s online revenue.

Network marketing is beginning to find its way into the fold but affiliate marketing programs are usually one tier. For merchants who are considering offering an affiliate strategy there are several possibilities available. Some of the solutions include stand-alone software, online shopping carts that have affiliate features, hosted services, and third-party affiliate networks. As the concept grows, many merchants opt to refine their terms and conditions to prohibit the affiliates from spamming.

Previously, affiliates would often resort to spamming techniques sent through email. These not only irritated consumers, but it clogged the Internet with computer-generated mail. Many affiliates are now onboard and create large volumes of generated web pages that are devoted to keywords and keyword phrases. This allows the search engines to target their sites. Google came to the rescue and created an algorithm called “Big Daddy” in February 2006. This allowed Google to remove a large quantity of duplicated content from the master index. This also means that an affiliate marketer has to rotate and update content on a regular basis.

The concept is responsible for creating a lot of new business across the globe and is expected to evolve greatly. It offers an affiliate the opportunity to hitch on to a company that is already well established in the market, and it becomes a win-win situation for everyone involved. The hopeful affiliate still has to realize that the adventure has to be taken seriously. While the merchant can offer training and timely advice, promoting the website or business is left up to the affiliate, and this means understanding the rules of engagement.

Hey, Look at Me!

Shadow, my dog and I work from home these days sharing the what we know about our hobbies and interests. But I don’t just share this info on my blogs. I also make niche specific content available in a number of ways that make me more money.

1. Write Articles And Publish Them on Top Article Directories.

This does a couple of things for me.

  • I get a backlink back to the web page I added to my article resource box.
  • Other marketers use my articles but by law they have to keep my resource box which gives me more backlinks to that web page.

I have a favourite article directory which is EzineArticles.com but I also use numerous others. Just do a search in Google for ‘article directories’ and you will find the top ones on page one of your results.

2. Guest Blogging

I like to write and share content by guest blogging on other blogs. I don’t do this a lot because I usually use commenting on blogs as a way to get more of my content out there along with a link back to my site. It’s vital that you add value by staying relevant when commenting or no one will follow your link.

3. Create Private Label Rights Articles

If you have hobbies and interest that you know something about you have a great opportunity to write niche specific articles that you can sell from your sites.

Good content is worth gold in PLR format. Just look at Nicole Dean’s Easy PLR to see what you can do with your own Private Label Rights products and you will see there’s gold in them there articles.

Make Money Scams vs Legit Opportunities

Coins and banknotes, two of the most common ph...
Image via Wikipedia

I have been scammed enough in the past that I tend to be a little sceptical about earning opportunities online, well offline to as far as that goes. It takes a little research to find the genuine make money online opportunities.

Almost all of what you’ll find online is on the up and up. The genuine challenge is weeding thru it all to find something that works for you. These are some common profit making tricks that many online promoting newcomers can fall into.

Get Rich Quick:

A lot of gurus in online marketing use their stories as corroboration of what you can do too if you purchase their products or services. And although it is probably true that these marketers did make an enormous sum of money awfully quickly, there are 3 things you should understand about that;

1) They probably weren’t completely new to the industry when they started making the money…

2) They’d have used another methods or programs to earn them this sum of money ( so they may not be revealing everything in what they sell to you…

3) They might have also spent a massive amount of cash to be ready to earn this great amount of money. While the products and/or services are most likely valuable and legitimized, you shouldn’t expect them to make you rich quick.

Easy Money Making:

There are quite a few mechanical systems out there. And yes, they are real and yes, they are easy. But they can also be expensive and not incredibly effective since they appeal to so many individuals that are attempting to go the easy route. The reality is that making profits online doesn’t need to be complex – it can be simple – but getting results does require effort.

The general public start out on the wrong foot with systems which profess to to be easy and profitable. When they aren’t so easy or profitable, it’s simple to give up and deem these systems “make money scams”.

Pyramid Schemes:

There are numerous sorts of legitimate programs ( like social marketing or MLM businesses ) that offer you commissions if you induct others into the business. However, if you come across a program that only offers you cash if you induct other members but offers no real service, this is a clean-cut pyramid scheme and swindle. Fortunately, the FTC is quick to crack down on these types of activities so you shouldn’t run across them too often.

Pay affiliate marketing programs:

Some affiliate program claim that they can make you lots of cash, but require you to buy their product or charge a sign up fee before you can start promoting what they offer. Bear in mind that you don’t have to pay for an associate product to promote it (though there are reasons you may want to do that). Most affiliate product and service owners will not ask their affiliate to pay money before they earn.

The Better Business Bureau and federal Trade Commission offer additional information about avoiding rip-offs, plus tactics to confirm offers and file complaints. Your state lawyer general’s office might also have express or general information about earn cash scams.

Have desk, will write
Image by Bright Meadow via Flickr

I work from home and have been since early 2001. I love being my own boss even though it does require a lot of content and linking to make it all come together for the 20 or so blogs I have going currently.

My blogs are in a variety of niches and need niche specific content on a regular basis, which for me is at least one article per blog every 3 days. It does tend to keep me busy so I periodically I use writers to help me with my content. That’s when I turn to article directories to find good writes for my niches.

Note: Not all my articles are publish on my blogs. I also write articles specifically to get backlinks to my blog pages. At the end of each article I add details about me and the niche I am writing about, it’s called the resource or bio box.

The Article Resource Box

The first and most important aspect of article writing is to have focused, helpful content or you won’t get anyone finishing the article. If they don’t finish it they won’t be making use of your resource box. But if you take the time to write worthwhile content then you want to make sure you give the details that will get your resource box link clicked.

I get articles at a variety of place and notice a lot of people write about one thing and link to something non-relevant. I don’t use these articles for content and I don’t bother with the author. I am a firm believer that the resource box and article content should be relevant to each other.

I don’t find it professional at all to write about a specific type of fishing or perhaps gardening but their resource box points to an insurance, gambling, meds… you get my point, right.

When I am looking for writers I look for writers that link to what they talk about in their article.

In my humble opinion when a resource box is done correctly it should give information about the writer relevant to the content.

What Should Be In Your Resource Box?

Here are a few things that your resource box should include, their important:

Include Your full name: When I publish articles I like to include a little about myself but I make it a point to include my full name, not just my first name or my initials. It never seems completely real unless the full name is there.

Include A Relevant Link

Every once in a while I see an article in the article directories that has no link in the article or the resource box. What were they thinking. It’s that link that makes it all work.

The URL you use in your resource box is a link back to a specific web page on your site, don’t waste the opportunity.

So your resource box doesn’t need to have a lot of info and should only be about 1-3 sentences. Just enough for your details and a call to action.

An article is just an article, without your resource box you really don’t stand a change in article directories.

Make Plans But Don’t Quit Your Day Job

Does it seem like you are banging your head against a wall trying to manage in todays economy. Down sizing sucks so bad and the recession isn’t helping either, it all just adds to the daily stress we all deal with.

I was fortunate enough to have started my work from home business before the company I worked for shut down completely. It was a tough time but I had an edge. Working at home is great, but don’t quit your day job just yet.

The best way to help yourself in these times is to start your own work from home business part time and work it until it grows. Who knows you may be your own boss before you know it. But seriously it’s great to have even a little extra income.

Make Money Work From Home Opportunities

Every once in a while I will pick up a work from home opportunities magazine because I am always curious about finding more ways to have multiple streams of income. Not like when I worked in the brick and mortar world thinking I was job secure.

These magazines are packed full of opportunities to make money online and offline, although these days I much prefer making my money online.

Learn From The Mistakes Others Have Made

Work at home opportunities can mess with your head and your logic, so don’t do anything stupid like rush right into something that looks good without doing some research. That was experience talking. I have had a tendency to jump into things in the past and it’s always a sucky way to learn a lesson.

Don’t go for the get rich quick stuff as it’s usually just a dream bubble that will certainly be burst. Instead go for an income you can grow over time and don’t just stop at one opportunity, get a couple going. You must have heard that you shouldn’t carry all your eggs in one basket. I have been there and done that as well and it hurts when your only source of income stops over night.

It took me years to believe this but… If it’s too good to be true it most likely is too good to be true. Don’t get sucked in, there are too many legit opportunities if you just take the time to look and research.

So stay away from these:

  • Pyramids Schemes
  • Online Survey Fillings

I personally have found that affiliate marketing makes money and no one gets shafted. I sell lots of things because I have lots of niches that I work with. After all I have been doing this now since 2001 and what I have learned is…

Don’t Rush To Get Things Going

Starting something? Finish it before you continue on to something else. Too many unfinished things makes you mind do strange things. I have had to take a step back and look at what I am doing so many times it would spin your head. But I eventually learned from my mistakes and if you are smart you will learn from my mistakes yourself, no need to suffer.

Get Yourself An Information Source

It’s great if you can afford to hire someone to your work but that’s not usually an option for most of us so it’s good to find a few well written and helpful ebooks to teach you the ropes and that’s when I turn to the Clickbank Marketplace.

I continually tried new things and failed time after time. Why? Because I thought it was easy and that I knew what I was doing. Well that didn’t work very well for the first couple of years and likely would have continued not to work but a friend, in the kindest way, told me that maybe I should get a book to help me.

Some times it’s good to take advice from friends. It changed my business life over night.

Learn how to market online, pick one thing and focus on that until you succeed. Then move on to the next thing and not before.

Five Basic Rules For Blogs

Lines of law school

As everyone knows blogs are everywhere. If a person would type the word blog into any search website you would millions of results. As the popularity of the blogs has increased, many people have deemed them as untrustworthy sources for info. This is as plenty of blogs are made by standard every day folk. But in the same aspect firms will also create a blog to generate more traffic and make money online.

So how do we go about fixing the unreliable factor? Well to do this all bloggers should go by a natural set of blogging rules. These are rules that aren’t in any way set in stone or anything but they’re basic rules that any one should follow. Most of your rules should follow the code of ethics tenets as code of ethics are a very important set of ethics to follow. In applying the rules to your blog there are 5 essential rules you must apply to your own site.

1. Facts

Make sure you check your facts before posting anything on your blog. Perform a little research on your topic and ensure the info that you have is true. Doing basic research can protect you from posting false info. When you post false information you may look bad and you may lose visitors to your set. Even after you have posted your blog check and confirm everything is correct . The more that you test your facts the better off you will be.

2. Copyright Regulations

Do not by any means walk into a site and simply cut and paste their info into your website. This is against copyright acts and can get you into some serious legal issues. Everything that is contained on the internet is copyrighted, which a lot of folks do not realize. You are better off making your own information and avoid any illegal misuse of copyright laws.

3. Implications

Think about the implications about what you are posting. When you push the post button there will be no way to change your words. If your post may cause repercussions against somebody later do not post it. Select all of your words thoroughly in order not to hurt any one’s feelings.

4. Comments

Monitor all of the comments that are placed on your blog page. Put restrictions on the sort of comments your readers are permitted to leave. This way they won’t leave a comment that might offend somebody or some place and cause vicious feelings because it will be you, not them, who will lose the visitors.

5. Credit

You must be bound to provide credit to any resources you use. If you fail to do this step you may fall into the rule number 2 of copyright laws and you’ll be deemed dishonorable.

These are just five common and essential rules that are out there but there are numerous more. Do a little analysis and discover which rules might apply to your internet site.
