A Work at Home Marketer’s Work Day

As a work from home marketer I get to enjoy a lot more freedom than I did working for others. However don’t let that make you think I don’t work hard for my income.

My experience started out a bit shaky but I eventually learned what it takes to be a work from home marketer and is so worth the time it took to learn.

My Daily Commute Is Shorter Now

For a long time I’ve dreamed of working from my home and making a living at it. Now it’s become a reality and the short commute to the office is so cool.

I get up really early, the middle of the night for most people, and never liked waiting hours before I could go to work. Now I can get up a 4am and pretty much go straight to work. It’s nice to have my day done by noon most days.

I don’t use an alarm. I just get up when I wake up and that’s always early and then it’s off to the office to turn on my computer and next the kitchen to start my first coffee of the day. Then I hit the bathroom to freshen up and I’m ready for the day.

First Let’s Dump The Email Spam

Even though I wake up without an alarm I am still a little dopey for a while so this is a good time to get rid of the spam in my email box. It gives me a little time to wake my brain up enough to really start working.

It doesn’t usually take long as my email software kicks most of the trash to the curb. Next I can get to the real email. Just this morning I received 4 guest blog posts for two different niches and 2 other requests from people wanting to guest blog on one of my other niche blogs.

Guest bloggers make my life so much easier today as I have more than a dozen blogs to provide content for.

I Review Each Guest Blog Post

Each guest post is saved in a temp folder so I can come back to them once I have finished with my email checking. Once I have them all saved I check each on to make sure it meets the rules I have set for guest bloggers.

I don’t accept all guest articles as not all follow the rules. Maybe they don’t think I am going to check them but I do and they get rejected.

Some are bad and get rejected but for those that write quality articles and yet make a mistake somewhere, well they always get a second chance with me. Just not the spammers.

It’s usually about this time I head to the kitchen for another cup of java.

I Schedule Publishing Guest Posts

What’s really great about guest articles or posts is that I don’t publish them all at once. I like to have a single post per day or every other day and schedule posts so that the show up exactly when I want them to, even when I’m off fishing with a buddy.

Publish To Article Directories With PR

EzineArticles.com is one of my favourite article directories and is where I publish first. Why, well EA has the toughest guidelines and won’t mess with any duplicate content. So I publish there first, wait for approval, which can take a few day if you’re new there but it’s quick for me.

After I get the email telling me it was accepted I take the article and spin it using The Best Spinner. This makes a few extra articles I can then use for the other article directories which are less strict.

Relevant Blog Commenting

Don’t overlook blog commenting as it can send you a lot of relevant traffic. There are a couple of commenting tips that will help you get your comment accepted.

1. I don’t just leave a generic comment like so many I reject each day. Instead take a few minutes, read the article and then add a comment that adds some extra value to their article. This will usually get the attention of the blog owner. Especially if they moderate their comments like I do.

2. Don’t know enough yet to leave a value added comment, not to worry. You can read the article and then come up with a real question that will help you learn more. People are usually eager to help as it makes them look good and you may go to their site as well.

Note: Be the first to comment. This will mean most people reading the article will see your comment. If you are commenter 27 they may not even see your comment. To make this easier I use Google Feed Reader or Bloglines to monitor the blog feeds I want to comment on. Feed readers are great time savers.

Need More Content Hire A Writer

There may be times you will not be able to come up with all the content you want. I am always looking for more content so I can publish articles all over the place with links back to my money pages. The thing is I need unique content and rewriting isn’t always an option.

Just a few months ago I learned about iwriter.com where I could request articles for the writers there.  The cost was very affordable which kind of led me to thinking maybe it sucked but my concerns quickly faded away.

An example: Just yesterday I made a request for 3 different articles at 500 words each. They were completed, checked through CopyScape for uniqueness and I was notified they were ready for approval. Today they are already scheduled to appear on my blogs.

I kept one of the articles to use as my original for spinning a bunch more in The Best Spinner software.

PageRank Building

Just two weeks ago I got an email from a blogging friend telling me about BuildMyRank.com. She told me it was a great place to publish articles to build my rankings. It wasn’t free like some of the place I’ve used that got me zero results but they do have a 15 day trial and I would have 10 links.

Of course I signed up and started using the system immediately using up my free links in no time. My articles we picked up and published quickly and indexed in a couple of days. That info is available for tracking purposes.

I wrote 4 articles and used iwriter.com for two more articles covering 5 of my niche domains.

The articles are only published once so no duplicate content floating around. My articles got published on a PR4, PR3 and PR2 sites. I don’t have any free links left but I am certainly convinced it’s a good place to be a member and made the commitment to a monthly membership.

And that brings an end to this article, hope it helps you reach new heights. If so let me know by leaving a comment. Maybe you are even a possible guest blogger.

Doesn’t it just get under your skin a bit when no matter what you do you can’t compete with your competition. Well cheer up. I’m hear to share how I managed to get a few steps ahead of the competitors in the niches I work.

I spent a long time figuring out how to compete with the top sites in my niche but today, using the Micro Niche Finder I have done it. Now my keywords occupy that top position.

Micro Niche Finder helps you spy on your competition. This way you’ll be able to see exactly how they get their rankings. This will give you all the info required to pass them in the search engines.

Know Where Their Backlinks Are Coming From

Just in case you’re not aware of it backlinks are the backbone of your page rank. The key to quick and powerful ranking is to find authority sites in your niche and get back links from those sites.

Using Micro Niche Finder has helped me by showing me where the top sites are getting their backlinks which gives me a great place to start looking for my backlinks. This feature alone is worth every penny you will pay for Micro Niche Finder.

Using Micro Niche Finder Is So Easy

I don’t always do well with software and tend to get frustrated with it. I purchased another keyword tool and even though I do well with it today it took me way too long to learn how to use it.

I gave the Micro Niche Finder a try and was so impressed that I was able to use it on my own after only a couple of hours. It’s a great keyword and niche tool that you have to take a look at Micro Niche Finder, today.

You Will Thank Me Later!!

There is no longer a need to spend hours and days researching niches of interest, like I did myself for the first couple of years I was working my online business. I have nothing against free tools like Google’s Free Keyword Tool they are all I had for my first few years.

I am so glad those days of time consuming keyword research are over thanks to my copy of Micro Niche Finder.

Download My Research To Excel

I love using Excel spreadsheets so it’s pretty cool that I can download my research results as a CSV file I can use directly in my favourite spreadsheet. This helps me to find the right keywords and make more affiliate income.

Finding the right keywords is how you make money online today and Micro Niche Finder does for me in record time.

When I started my web design business I didn’t do SEO because it was too time consuming and I was making a lot of money without it. However once I learned how to use Micro Niche Finder I offered my new skills to my existing clients and now their sites are doing so much better for them.

5 Common SEO Mistakes To Avoid At All Costs

As a blogger or site owner you can definitely improve your page rank by using proper search engine optimization strategies in your article marketing and blogging.

The thing is you need to get your SEO right or you may not see any positive results. Getting your SEO wrong can actually drag your site down in the rankings and search engine positioning, so it’s worth learning right.

Take the time to look at other online marketer’s web pages, successful marketers of course, and see what they do with their content that makes it work for them. It can keep you out of a lot of trouble while you’re learning the success strategies.

1. Never Resort To Keyword Stuffing

My first experience with keyword stuffing was with a local minister who was eager to have a web presence. I explained the importance of keywords. I even helped him with his keyword research and then asked him to write up a few pages of content for his new site.

Well the content I received back after a day or two was nothing but keywords. There was no flow to the content at all, just keywords that were formed into what looked like paragraphs. I actually burst out laughing. I had never seen anything like it.

Well I called him about his content and explained about keyword density and keyword stuffing. We had a good laugh and he rewrote his content into what is now a great performing page.

I have seen many websites that just don’t get any real attention to their websites because they tend to use their keywords as every other word on their site. Makes it tough to read.

Online success does not require the use of keyword stuffing as you will do just fine with about keyword density of about 3-5 percent. Keyword stuffing can actually destroy any page ranking potential your site has so avoid it, completely.

So if you NOW realize that keyword stuffing may be the cause of your poor page rank then get to work and un-stuff your pages.

Using synonyms is a great way to stay on topic, get the point across and all without over using your keywords.

So if you are aiming for 5% keyword density then you only want to use your keyword 5 times per 100 words.

2. Stay on Topic For Each Page

This is something I’ve been guilty of in the past. I would write articles that were off topic, which dilutes the focus of your site in the eyes of the search engines. If your site is about acoustic guitar write about topics revolving around acoustic guitars.

Your acoustic guitar site may not be the place to talk about your dog’s skin problems.

3. Do NOT Go Black Hat SEO

I made this mistake a number of years ago and had a couple of sites actually banned in Google. I was completely shocked, even got a bit depressed actually. I had been warned in other articles I had read about white, grey and black hat SEO but didn’t think it was as dangerous as it can be.

The majority of grey or black hat SEO practices go against the terms of service for Google and Google is King of search engines. They will come down on you, hard.

Learn to work within accepted parameters and your business will get and keep better rankings.

4. Forgetting The ALT Tag

Today I include an ALT tag with each and every image I put on my web pages. I make sure I get an image that can speak to my visitor as a picture can be worth a thousand words but I don’t leave it there. I also use appropriate keywords in the ALT tag as search engines can read the ALT tag text.

I don’t do any keyword stuffing in ALT tags, as that will lead to problems with Google as well.

Example: <img src=”/images/yourpic.jpg” ALT=”a brief description of the image using a keyword or two” width=”100” height =”100”>

5. Use The Title Tag in Your Hyperlinks

Just like images can have an ALT tag hyperlinks can have a Title tag, which is basically the same thing. It’s an opportunity to include more detail about the link without making the link text longer and spammy looking.

Example: <a href=”http://www.yoursite.com” TITLE=”a brief description and keyword”>keyworded hyperlink</a>

Following the rules for SEO doesn’t mean you have to suffer with poor page rank, not at all. There are plenty of ways to optimize your pages with keyword stuffing or any grey or black hat. It just takes time, planning and action.

Four Tips For Effective Blog Commenting

Just incase you’re not aware you can use commenting on other people’s blogs as a way to gain more traffic to your own sites. You can even build popularity to your blog using backlinking.

The thing is that you can’t just comment on any blog, you actually need to focus on blogs relevant to your blog’s content or keyword focus.

Be sure you check blogs before commenting. Make sure they are worth your time and not just spam blogs, also look to see that they update their content on a regular basis. I expect them to be blogging at least a couple of times each week, more if possible. One more thing, expect to wait a day or two before you’re approved, again this is due to so many comment spammers.

1. Add Value To The Blog Post: I have an ever growing number of blogs so I tend to get a lot of comment requests but sadly by far the most are spam and just get rejected. So be sure you read the blog post and add some value to the site with your comment.

You can stroke my ego all day long and it won’t get your comment accepted. It may have worked the first few times but now they just get rejected. If I see a comment that says nothing about the blog post they are commenting on I am pretty certain it’s automated and just spam.

Don’t assume all bloggers are idiots when it comes to accepting comments.

2. Be First To Leave A Comment: This can really make a difference in the results your comment have.

It just makes good sense that those who are late get left behind. So don’t bother blogging on old posts, if they already have lots of comments. But, if you are the first or in the first few most site visitors will get to see your comment, even the blog owner and that can make a huge difference in the traffic to your site.

I use Bloglines to follow blogs because it allows me to see the blogs which have new updates, at a glance, so I can get to them and comment as soon as possible.

3. Comment On And Link To Relevant Sites: I follow every link in a comment because I don’t want to let spammers get through so for this reason it’s best to link to a relevant site, you get accepted more often.

4. I Usually Aim For The Higher PageRank Blogs: It’s simple, sites that are more popular get more traffic, target traffic, so I try to find those sites, relevant to my own content and post comments. It gets me a lot more target traffic.

The more popular the blog is that you wish to comment on the more you need to refer back to point #1 and #2. Add Value and Be The First To Comment.

I have found blog commenting to be just this easy, but it takes regular work on your part, if you want your comments accepted and productive.

Extra Commenting Tip: If you choose to ignore a statement like ‘|Use A Real Name In The Name Field!‘ then expect to have your comment deleted as spam, even if you took the time to add value to the comment.

Webmann Marketing welcomes you to our review of The Best Spinner. Over the past year I have used The Best Spinner for my article marketing needs, I even tried a few other spinners as well. Currently the other spinners are sitting on my computer not being used as The Best Spinner does it all for me.

I work Monday to Friday most weeks although I tend to take off a lot of time during fishing season. While I’m working I tend to write a couple of articles each day. But I spin those articles into multiple unique articles so those two articles can easily produce 20 or 30 articles each. When I look back I can see that I have published hundreds and hundreds of articles in the last year.

You won’t be catching me using the auto replace synonyms button. The auto replace synonyms feature should be disabled because it makes a mess of articles. If I wouldn’t publish them on my site I certainly wouldn’t publish them on other people’s sites when I am going for my keyworded backlinks.

My Hat Is Off To The Best Spinner Creator

Jonathan Leger is the man in my opinion because by coming up with The Best Spinner he has made my life easier and has helped me make more money online.

With The Best Spinner You Can Spin Word, Phrase And Sentence Spinning

The Best Spinner has a user generated thesaurus which is awesome but at the same time not so great. Because users update the thesaurus and the fact that all users are not english or have good writing skills, well some of the choices just don’t fit in normal English writing.

Don’t get caught up in using the auto replace feature to save time and create more articles as it will come back to bite you in the behind. The articles just can’t be read by humans, even though they are accepted by search engines so people still use them for backlinking purposes.

I pick and chose each and ever word or phrase replacement myself and still proof read each and every article I publish.

Is Article Spinning Too Time Consuming?

Not at all. It’s simple, The Best Spinner saves me time and helps me make more money. It’s been a year since I started using The Best Spinner, looking back I spent so much time rewriting articles.

Here is a short tutorial of The Best Spinner. See it for yourself.
