A work from home job saved my marriage and life is good today.

I used to dream of having a work from home job where I was my own boss, finally. Then I would wake up to face reality.

I was in my mid forties, 60 pounds over-weight and had already had one heart attack that wasn’t fixable. Oh yeah my marriage was going down hill fast. Made me want to go back to my dream.

One night after my wife went to bed I started looking online to see if there was a way to make money on the Internet.

It seemed that most work from home ideas would do best if I had my own website. I didn’t know how to create a website and didn’t have money to have someone else build it for me and I was just about to give up on the whole thing.

I decided to give it a try and started using free HTML tutorials. It didn’t take me long to build my first website. I was so proud of myself. I didn’t know it at the time but building that first website would completely change our lives, in a positive way.

Idea #1 – Website Design

My website wasn’t fancy but it looked good and was clean so I had to show my friends what I had learned to do. It still blows me away when I think about what happened next.

Even though they all said they liked it wasn’t 100 percent sure. They told a few of their freinds to check out my page and a day or two later I got a phone call asking if I would create a website for a local business.

I thought one of my buddies was playing a prank but they where not and I had my first work from home web design job. I made a whole lot more money than my day job paid and I had a lot of fun.

I had no over-head so that guy got a great deal and I was certainly happy with the money I made.

Of course they showed their new website to everyone they knew. Almost over night I was overwhelmed with phone calls from other small businesses.

It looked like life was getting better, finally. Shortly after I quit my low paying day job and work from home to this very day.

Note: What really got my work from home business going was keep it local. I didn’t even try to get business globally. I had all the business I needed right on my front door step.

Idea #2 – Using Your Typing Skills For Transcription, Data Entry or Translation

This work from home job is not up my alley at all. I can type and do good enough to run my business but don’t have the speed or accuracy for this work from home opportunity.

But if you have speed and don’t make too many mistakes this type of work from home job may just be for you.

Idea #3 – Selling on Ebay As A Work From Home Job

This particular work from home idea I read about online and tried it some time ago. I had a blast and the money was great. The nervousness that was building up in me disappeared after I made my first sale and nothing went wrong.

The article read something like: “Go through your house, top to bottom, including the attic if you have one. Don’t forget to check the basement and the garage or shed.

You’ll looking for things you don’t want to keep around. Focus on things that are in good condition so you don’t get refund requests.

List them on Ebay.”

We had quite a little pile of things we could sell, so I learned how to sell products on Ebay and listed my first item. Then we waited until the auction ended a few days later. All my nervousness went away when that little item sold.

From there we started listing and they continued to sell. Selling on Ebay was a lot of fun, we made a pile of money too. It was addictive but a great way to work from home to make money in our spare time.

I packed things well and never had a single refund request.

When we sold everything we had it was a bit of a let down. So we went to a few yard sales and bought some things for almost nothing and sold those one Ebay as well.

I am sure that you would have a blast with as well. Just be sure to pack things well and you will do fine. Try to have fun with it and we wish you the best.

We weren’t sure what to charge for things so we just looked on Ebay for similar items and that’s what we charge. That’s what we did.

Idea #4 – Blogging, Affiliate Marketing And Your Hobbies

My work from home job doesn’t seem like a job because I enjoy it and mostly what I share is about my hobbies and interests. I hardly ever get writers block when it comes to my hobbies.

There are hobbies that don’t have a lot of interest so I don’t bother with them but hobbies I love like fishing, gardening, biking, guitar playing and well the list could go on and on.

The only rule I have when it comes to hobbies and blogging is they have to be hobbies I actually spend money one and trust me when I say I spend money on my hobbies as do so many others.

Hobbies that people spend money on obviously have the most potential for earning from your work from home job.

This next idea goes right along with hobbies and blogging.

Idea #5 – Doing Product Reviews With Your Work From Home Business

I promote products I can earn commission with, or affiliate programs related to my hobbies and interests. It’s a well known fact that people who have hobbies like learning more about their hobbies.

Take fishing for example. Fishing is a hobby or interest enjoyed by millions of people. I share fishing tips and tricks from my fishing trips. So actually my work from home job really doesn’t even have to be at home. Let’s go fishing.

I take pictures, lots of them and videos and then I write fishing related articles that point my readers toward my affiliate links. It’s great and I make money, but fishing is just one of my interests.
